Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care

Welcome to my blog. It's a happy place where I talk about the things I like and sometimes I talk about the things I don't like. This post is a little bit different as I am going to review a product which I received from BzzAgent. Let me explain a little about BzzAgent. As a BzzAgent, I take a few surveys to determine if I am a good fit for upcoming campaigns. When I am a good fit, they send me a product free of charge. Once I have tried the product I tell them and you what I think. You aren't expected to give it a rave review just because it was sent free. They just expect you to be honest. So I share with you my honesty!

I was selected for the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care campaign. BzzAgent sent me a box containing a the razor with two blades, a coupon for a free can of Skintimates Shave Cream and a few coupons for friends to try the new razor at a discounted price. This happened to be in my mailbox as I was heading out to purchase a few things.

I went ahead and picked up my can of free shaving cream to go along with my razor. I selected the Skin Therapy Moisturizing Shave Gel.

See those interesting little dots above and below the blades? Those contain a water activited hypoallergenic moisturizing serum that will continue to moisturize your skin for up to two hours after shaving. I love the size and the shape of this handle. I love the ridges on the handle as I am a natural klutz and these ridges help me hang on to this razor.

This is a five blade razor that does a great job of getting a close shave. In order to get the closest shave possible I usually like to exfoliate my legs with a body scrub before shaving. This helps slough off the dead skin so that you can get the closest shave possible.

In order to really put the new Sensitive Care formula to the test, I did a side by side test between it and the original Hydro Silk. I shaved one leg with the original and the other with the sensitive. The biggest difference I noticed between the two is the fact that I suffer from less, I mean no, razor burn. I wouldn't consider myself to have sensitive skin but I have a few places that I always end up with those irritating red bumps. I got no red bumps with the sensitive skin formula. This is extremely helpful for your armpits and especially your bikini area.

I will tell you that I do switch off back and forth between the Hydro Silk and another popular five blade razor. I have mentioned the other five blade razor in my yearly favorites. I will tell you that the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor definitely trumps the original Hydro Silk and the other brand!

I received this product free of charge for my honest review and feedback through BzzAgent. If you are interested in joining BzzAgent click this link. BzzAgent has programs in America, Canada and the UK.
